TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By submitting a booking inquiry and confirming a reservation, you agree to comply with the following terms. These conditions are designed to protect the peace, sanctity, and sustainability of the Ushago Homestead.

1. Booking & Eligibility

  • Ministry Focus: We exclusively host individuals and groups associated with Christian ministry, Bible colleges, or mission organisations.

  • Occupancy: To honour our biblical values, we host married couples (husband and wife) or single-gender groups from the same organisation.

  • Age Requirement: The primary person making the booking must be at least 21 years old.

  • Adults Only: The homestead is designed as a space for adult reflection and ministry training. We do not accommodate children under the age of 18.

 

2. Payment & Confirmation

  • Payment in full upon confirmation and arrival

  • Make your bookings and payments at least 1 week in advance.

  • Payment Methods:  Pay online, Paystack, Credit card, or M-Pesa.

 

3. Cancellation & Changes

  • 30+ Days Before Arrival: Full refund of all payments made (minus any third-party processing fees).

  • 14–30 Days Before Arrival: 50% refund of the total booking amount.

  • Less than 14 Days Before Arrival: Non-refundable. However, we allow a one-time rescheduling of your dates within the next 6 months for a small $50 change fee.

  • No-Shows: No refund will be issued.

4. Arrival & Departure

  • No Walk-Ins: To maintain security, we do not accept walk-in clients or pre-booking "viewings." 

  • Self -Check-In:  Between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. No arrivals after 6 pm.  

  • Check-Out:  By 11:00 am, an inspection will be done before you leave the premises.  If no damages are found, your 'Damage deposit will be refunded within 24 hours.

  • Transport: Guests are responsible for their own airport transfers and local transport.

 

5. Stewardship & Conduct

  • Property Care: Guests are expected to leave the property in the same state of cleanliness and order in which it was found. Any damage to the handcrafted cob structure, furniture, or fittings must be reported and paid for at the cost of repair or replacement.

  • Respect for Peace: Our homestead is a sanctuary. Occupancy and use must not disturb neighbours. We reserve the right to terminate a stay immediately, without refund, if conduct is offensive or disruptive.

  • Prohibited Items: Pets, Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited on the premises.

  • No Stag parties!

6. Liability & Insurance

  • We strongly encourage all guests to purchase Travel Insurance.

  • The Host is not liable for any losses, damage, personal injury, illness, or death incurred during the stay. We accept no responsibility for guests' vehicles or personal property.

  • We shall take due care to ensure you have a safe environment. We cannot be held responsible for temporary malfunctions of internet services, electricity, or equipment, nor for local building works in the surrounding area.

  • We shall ensure that there is peace and tranquillity to our best effort.
