Reclaiming Our Authenticity Through Intentional Living

Welcome home!
Life has become louder — faster, heavier, and more tangled than our spirits were ever meant to carry. At Ubuntu Authentic Living, we believe it’s time to pause.
To breathe. To remember who we are and what truly matters.
A way of life rooted in wisdom
Our ancestors lived slowly, intentionally, and together.
They understood seasons, community, faith, food, and the concept of belonging.
We haven’t outgrown that wisdom — we’ve simply forgotten it.
Ubuntu Authentic Living is a journey back to alignment — with God, with ourselves, with our families, and with the land beneath our feet.
Ubuntu — I am because we are — reminds us that:
we are shaped, strengthened and healed in community.
So my work now brings together:
-
emotional wellness & psychology, faith and spiritual grounding
-
simple lifestyle practices, African ancestral wisdom
-
nature, creativity and slow living, family, purpose and meaningful work
I run workshops, retreats, online programs and a homestead learning hub —
helping people reconnect to:
who they are, whose they are, and how we were meant to live.

What We Must Reclaim

🧡 Identity & Authenticity
Living true to who God made us to be — not who life pressures us to become.
🌾 Home, Land & Food
Growing what we eat, building with our hands, and creating spaces of peace.
👨👩👧 Family & Community
Restoring connection, presence, and what it means to belong to one another.
💼 Purpose & Work
Finding dignity and meaning in what we do — not burnout, hustle and hurry.
🙏 Faith & Spirituality
Returning to God, to His rhythms, and to the sacred stillness that restores the soul.
About Shibero
Shibero is a quiet pioneer of simple, faith-rooted living — a clinical psychotherapist, author, and teacher who believes deeply that peace, purpose, and emotional wellness begin at home and in the heart. Shibero has been through the treadmill of life and finally jumped off it
Through her writing, workshops, and lived example, she gently asks:
What if we don’t need more… but less?
Less noise. Less exhaustion. Less striving.
More God. More wholeness. More life.
With a background in emotional and mental wellness, Shibero brings both the insight of a therapist and the soul of a seeker. She doesn’t preach simplicity — she models it.
Living on her handmade cob homestead, surrounded by nature, gardens, and quiet, she invites others into a slower rhythm — one that restores identity, nourishes mental health, and aligns life with God’s purposes.
Her work focuses on helping women, families, and communities:
✨ step off the stress-driven treadmill
✨ heal from emotional strain and relational wounds
✨ rebuild confidence and faith
✨ and rediscover joy in everyday living
As the author of multiple books and a long-time companion to women facing divorce, transition and overwhelm, Shibero brings compassion, creativity, and practical tools to every person she walks with.
Whether she’s tending her kitchen garden, facilitating a workshop, or writing by lamplight, she embodies the truth that simplicity isn’t deprivation —
IT'S LIBERATION!
Not shrinking life, but expanding space for what truly matters. Her hope is simple:
To guide others home —
back to our authentic selves,
back to the community,
back to peace,
and back to the gentle voice of God.

Through teaching, workshops, nature-based experiences, storytelling, and real-life simple living, we journey together back to peace.
“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.”
— Jeremiah 6:16
